Pauline Styles was associated with the Abbots Langley Scouts for many years and during her time with them she recorded the history of the local scouting activities using articles from the group's "Woodsmoke" newsletters. She produced three volumes, forming a permanent record of Scouting in Abbots Langley up to the early 2000s.
