Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Abbots Langley
Local History Society and the 75th anniversary of the
Hertfordshire Association for Local History. Exhibits will
include old maps, vintage photographs, books, displays of
local history projects and guest displays.

The Abbots Langley Time Line
Listing all the significant events since 1045.
The Large Map
Always popular, the large 1:2500 scale "County Series" first edition OS linen map produced 1873-1881 will be unrolled.
Photos Old and Modern
Lots of interesting old (and not so old) photographs to browse through.
Many Publications (some for sale) including:
- The Journal - current and back copies
- A Concise History of Abbots Langley - A Collection of
essays and talks by Clive Clark, a founding member of ALLHS
- Reminiscences - Three volumes of the reminiscences of local people of Abbots Langley, Bedmond and the surrounding area.
- Palace Lives - Recently published book by Michael Long, Member of the Kings
Kings Langley Local History & Museum Society. The extraordinary tale of the medieval Royal Palace at Kings Langley that once stood at the top of Langley Hill,

Back to the Front
Roger Yapp will be representing the Back to the Front Project and introducing his second book which includes the stories of over 600 men and women from Leavesden,
Langleybury and Hunton Bridge during WW1. He will be inviting visitors to pre-order their copy.
